The information posted by NamekkianPikkoro is probably the best summary I've seen of reproduction types. Certainly enough for a Namek fan to run with while writing. While this might put a dent in the straight forward inclusion of a female Namek, it leaves enough wiggle room that a plausible explanation can be thought up.

Info Bit: About Namek Gender
While I'd seen it referenced before, I'd never known the people mentioning it enough to be sure if they were being truthful or not. And for the most part I'd forgotten much about it. Not long ago, though, HanaNoir of Nameksei.net made a post on the forum about an interview Akira Toriyama had done with Shonen Jump. In the post is a short bit quoting Toriyama as stating:
